High waisted shorts. DIY

After spending too much time lusting over distressed high waisted shorts on a broke wallet it had became apparent that the only option was to Do It Yourself. My friend Hannah and I went to the nearest thrift store and sifted through the mounds of jeans till we each found a pair of 80's fit denim. After a few home remedies we created these two beauties. I'm so in love with them! They're the perfect summer shorts!

J Crew boots

This pic is mainly to showcase the J Crew motorcycle boots that came out last fall.

They're 100% leather with a rubber sole.

 

Sunglasses are from Aldo, Beanie from American Apparel, bracelet from Banana Republic, top from Forever 21, random jeans again that I have still yet to figure the name of, and Steve Madden gladiators.

Neon seems to be in this spring and in a big way. But then again, isn't it every spring? Well.. maybe pastels had a larger influence last year. Anyways, I found this neon beanie at American Apparel for only 20 bucks and I couldn't be happier. It's the perfect accessory and can be paired up with a multitude of different outfits. Please go and get yourself one.. just not neon orange. You'll look like something resembling an inmate.. not a chic fashionable individual.
